Hope

The world is full of possibilities, a fact I’m all too familiar with, an idea I’ve dance with and loved intimately.

“What could I be” a child’s question,

“Where can I go” ask the adventure,

“What to do next” a phrase I anxiously ask myself regularly.

The world is full of possibilities and you’re full of potential, like a canvas yet to be touched by an artist’s brush. What you could be an endless list, what you are a short note… or a poet’s repository, perspective.

One day you’ll cherish the fruits of your labor, I suppose a fact that holds true for everyone. But how does your fruit taste, is your fruit well nourished? Did its tree and environment nourish a savory fruit, a question vignerons know too well, wine is only as good as the grapes within it.

Enjoy the fruits of your labor, savor their richness, appreciate what life has packed into a beautiful moment. Fruits are to a tree what a dish is to a chef, a result of taken responsibility.

The journey of growth is a beautiful adventure, a never ending one, it’s enjoying the blessing of another day and seeing what God’s light brings us tomorrow. But for now, there’s beauty in the moment, it beckons to be heard, felt, admired, and enjoyed. It’s so rich with gold if you’re willing to look, yet a miner’s pickaxe never earned him gold, his persistence and ambition did.

Build the life you want, nourish your tree for fruit you savor, mine the minerals you desire. You’ll grow for many seasons before you get it right and a many more to better the fruits of your labor. You’ll break your back for grams of gold but it’s the persistence that made the miner rich.

There’s beauty in tribulations and adversity, yet the hardest storms skew our perspective of reality, block the beauty that lies in front of us. I suppose that’s beauty of another day, when the storm ends and the flood gates rid our pain, when they turn to laughter, we then see the beauty of growth in action.

Life is a journey, take control of the steering wheel and visit everything you desire along the way, with a destination in mind you’ll be fine, and like fruit to a tree you can tell the story you experience from your adventure. Remember it’ll all be ok; the adventure is in the journey not the destination.

“Knowing how to navigate your vessel does not mean you know how to navigate the waters. You’re comfortable with your capacity to do so”

I've actively journaled the last 3 years. Some of which others enjoyed, I'm trying something new.
